Many webmasters missed the Google Panda 3.6 update which happened on 27th of April 2012. We missed the Google Panda update 3.6 was because it was a quick refresh and it was never expected from the Google team to perform the iteration so quick.
The previous Google Panda update 3.5 happened just 8 days back on 19th April. Usually, Google Panda Updates take 6 weeks or more between each successive updates.
What Google has to say about this update:
We’re continuing to iterate on our Panda algorithm as part of our commitment to returning high-quality sites to Google users. This most recent update is one of the over 500 changes we make to our ranking algorithms each year.
The main focus of this update again was the continuation from the Google Panda 3.5 update which was to return quality websites to the web explorers. Google Panda 3.6 was also a small and minor change to the algorithm to make quality websites stand out. This change was not noticed by many of the webmasters as it was not a major change to the algorithm. Many did not notice the drop or raise in search rankings.
Here is the discussion on Webmaster forum on Google Panda refresh 3.6. Google never told anyone why there was a quick and minor update.
This article was just for my documentation purpose on my website and also to let other webmasters know about the Panda change.
Thanks for reading and knowing this. Stay tuned for more updates and tutorials.
